Welcome to Mearns Coastal Parish Church. As part of the Church of Scotland in Kincardine and Deeside Presbytery,  South Aberdeenshire, we hope you find the information useful.

Sunday Worship 10.00 am and 11.30 am.

Our style of worship incorporates traditional and modern praise, with something for everyone.

We use the Church Hymnary 4 Hymn Book, Mission Praise and Junior Praise. We regularly learn new worship songs. Services can be quite lively with our small  Praise Band, especially at Christmas, Easter and Family Services.  We have started a  Sunday School and Youth Church for al the youngsters in the Parish. It is held weekly in the Church Hall at Johnshaven. Children welcome to all our services.

On the last Sunday in the month  after the morning service, we have a time of fellowship over a light refreshment, where everyone is welcome.

Minister’s  Welcome

On behalf of the congregation and Kirk Session, may I offer you a warm welcome to our Church.

I hope you will be able to join us at Sunday Morning Worship or in some of the activities mentioned.

As a Parish Church we seek to serve the community through offering a welcoming place of worship, fellowship and as a well equipped meeting place for other organisations.  While we are a distinctly Christian Church, we want to serve God through offering a welcome to those of faith or none.  Many people feel that the church is only for members, but in fact through the various activities, religious ordinances such as Infant Blessing, Weddings or Funerals, this is not the case.  You do not need to be a Member to seek a Blessing for your child, to be married in the Church, or to have a Minister to conduct a Funeral.  While the services are Christian – they are offered to all.

For those interested in finding out more about the Christian Faith or Church Membership, we offer an opportunity to look at these issues in our Enquirer’s Group.  This group meets informally over a few weeks in the Manse at St Cyrus.  Contact the Minister for more information.
