			<title>The St Cyrus Newsletter Website</title>
			<link>http://www.stcyrusnewsletter.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=1</link>
<description> This website is the electronic form of our bi-monthly community newsletter delivered to 630+ houses in the area identified on the map (http://www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/local/feature_info.asp?urn=swrefVrecordVdatasetZgisVcollectionZcommunity_councilVkeysZ29489139).There are many in the village who now have access to the internet and prefer reading newspapers online. We hope that they will respond and contribute by writing to the Newsletter Editor (index.php?option=com_contact task=view contact_id=2 Itemid=101) and in so doing make their newsletter a better mirror of our community by contributing articles for discussion and entertainment. Contributors should read our editorial policy (index.php?option=com_content task=category sectionid=5 id=19 Itemid=99) for guidance. For more information on the interest groups in the village and the events, please use the Events Calendar on the right and have a look at the Recreation and Interests (index.php?option=com_content task=section id=7 Itemid=29) Category. Ours is a very friendly village with around 1000 inhabitants with a great community spirit. It is sited high on a cliff on the East Coast of Scotland, between the cities of Dundee and Aberdeen. Our nearest town is Montrose (http://www.montrose.org.uk/), Angus.Down by the sea the we have our National Nature Reserve (http://www.snh.org.uk/nnr-scotland/reserve.asp?NNRId=29). The plant life is quite special and if you are lucky you will spot dolphins or porpoises off the coast. Seals inhabit the waters in and around the mouths of the North (http://www.trout-salmon-fishing.com/scotland-river-north-esk.htm) and South Esk (http://www.jncc.gov.uk/ProtectedSites/SACSelection/sac.asp?EUCode=UK0030262) rivers. They all love to eat the salmon found there, and so do we!St Cyrus used to be a fishing village and the fishermen&amp;rsquo;s cottages are still there, but they are now only used to store nets and other equipment. St Cyrus is recognisable from miles away by its church and steeple, which is a well known landmark. The sunrises and sunsets can be quite spectacular, especially when viewed from the &amp;#39;Heid o&amp;#39;the Braes&amp;#39;. If you are a shopaholic this is not for you. If you like nature and tranquility you&amp;#39;ll love it. Photograph by Steve Perks, Montrose </description>
